Service Alert: Effective Immediately Purolator Not Accepting Shipments

March 28, 2017 [Ayr, ON] – There is a potential strike happening with Purolator across Canada that may cause disruptions in the delivery of samples and results. A decision is expected from the union by 4:30pm EST on March 29, 2017.

Effective immediately, on March 28, 2017, Purolator will not be accepting shipments until further notice. Purolator will make their best effort to deliver shipments currently in their network, however, extended ground shipments may experience a delay.

The shipment of samples is a part of DriverCheck’s contract with the laboratory, Dynacare WorkPlace, and they have developed a backup plan with FedEx.

Below is a list of regions that will have minimal disruption, due to other shipping alternatives already in place:

Fort McMurray – will be minimally affected as Air Canada is the courier used in this region.

Dynacare WorkPlace Ground Service – there are several locations in Ontario that will continue to use Dynacare WorkPlace ground courier service, and therefore will be minimally affected. This list will be provided in the event that a strike occurs.
