DriverCheck To Introduce Keynote Speaker at AOHNA 2014 Symposium

As a proud sponsor of this year’s Alberta Occupational Health Nurses Association Symposium, DriverCheck’s Business Development Manager Connor Page will have the pleasure of introducing Dr. Bonnie Rogers as one of the conference’s keynote speakers.

Dr. Bonnie Rogers is an internationally recognized expert in occupational health, worker health promotion, and occupational health nursing. She will deliver her keynote address, Advancing Occupational Health Nursing Practice in the 21st Century: Leading, Challenging, Caring on Thursday, May 29th.

Also on the speaking schedule is our own Shannon Jacobi, Manager of DriverCheck’s Remote Medical Services. Shannon will deliver an informative and interactive talk on relevant issues facing OHNs today. Her session, 3D Occupational Health Care: Successful Strategies for Successful Outcomes in a Complex World will cover:

  • The trend towards Paramedics/LPN’s and Nurse Practitioners in occupational health settings
  • Implications of changes to the Health Professions Act for health records
  • Logistics of establishing or providing remote medical services
  • A simple action plan for OHNs to influence change

Shannon is a certified and experienced Occupational Health Nurse who has managed and worked in remote medical centres, taking on various leadership roles in the field of occupational health care. She recently joined DriverCheck as the Manager of Remote Medical Services.
