The Story of DriverCheck

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of DriverCheck’s founder, Dr. Chris Page. Chris passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at his home, on Friday, July 16, 2021, in his 76th year.

Though we are deeply saddened by his early departure, we take some comfort in knowing that Chris lived a full and meaningful life. Many of you may know him as the founder of DriverCheck, but he started his career as a physician. A wonderful physician. Few could match his clinical skills and ability to connect with a patient. His humility and ability to see everyone as a person, no matter what walk of life, endeared him to his patients. When people called him “Dr. Page”, he’d politely respond with, “It’s just Chris”.

  • Chris was also an entrepreneur. He was involved in starting multiple businesses and medical practices, including urgent care clinics in Kitchener-Waterloo and drug rehabilitation clinics. His most successful venture was DriverCheck, which he built on pure passion and determination, always finding the yes in the no and fueling himself with infectious optimism. No matter how successful his ventures were, he always said “It’s just a good start”. His thirst for life and growth was evident and inspiring.

This year, DriverCheck celebrates 25 years in business, and with that, we would like our clients to join us in celebrating our journey together and the life of our incredible founder. A visionary and rebel against the odds.
