This course is designed for supervisors in DOT-regulated workplaces who have previously completed the Drug and Alcohol Awareness Supervisor DOT course and require annual refresher training to maintain compliance and workplace safety.

It supports ongoing education and prevention efforts by reinforcing best practices and current legislation related to substance misuse. Supervisors will revisit the health impacts and workplace risks associated with alcohol, cannabis (including edibles and smoking), prescription medications, and other mood-altering substances.

The Refresher consists of an introduction and review, followed by a series of quizzes to test the learner's knowledge of topics covered in the original course. The learner also has access to the original course modules and resources to refer to as needed.

This refresher meets U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements under 49 CFR Part 40 for workplace drug and alcohol testing procedures in the Federally regulated transportation industry. Annual training helps protect workplaces from safety incidents, investigations, and liability, ensuring supervisors are equipped to promote a safe and compliant environment.
