Hearing Protection Fit Testing

This service is currently only available in Alberta.

DriverCheck offers hearing protection fit testing to ensure our clients in Alberta are compliant with the legislative change to the Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code that came into effect March 31, 2023.

Employers in Alberta are responsible for ensuring workers are fit tested for the hearing protection devices (HPDs) they use and wear. Fit testing of HPDs must meet the updated CSA Standard Z94.2-14 (R2019), Hearing Protection Devices - Performance, Selection, Care, and Use and can utilize either qualitative or quantitative methods to ensure proper fit. The change is intended to prevent noise-induced hearing loss.

DriverCheck and Hearing Protection Fit Testing

We offer qualitative hearing protection fit testing at all our DriverCheck Clinics in Alberta. If you require testing outside our clinic locations, please get in touch and we would be happy to work with you to try and find a testing location convenient for you.

Quantitative hearing protection fit testing is available for both branded and non-branded earplugs at our Calgary and Edmonton clinics

By partnering with DriverCheck you can be confident that your workers will have the proper assessment and fit testing of hearing protection to comply with government standards and ensure your employees are fit to work.
