Fitness for Duty Summit 2023 Giveaway Official Contest Rules 

FFDS Giveaway

1. Eligibility: 

  • The contest is open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older. 

  • No purchase is required to enter or win. 

  • Employees of DriverCheck and anyone otherwise connected with the organization or judging of the competition are not eligible to participate or win. 

 

2. Contest Period: 

  • The contest will begin on September 22, 2023, and end on October 4, 2023, at 11:59 PM (ET) (the "Contest Period"). 

 

3. Prize: 

  • There is one (1) prize available to be won as follows: 

  • Two (2) general attendee tickets to Fitness for Duty Summit 2023 (approximate retail value: $425). 

  • If the winner has already bought a ticket, DriverCheck will reimburse them for the cost of two tickets. 

 

4. How to Enter: 

  • To enter, participants must: 

  1. Follow DriverCheck on Facebook, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn. 

  2. Like the post. 

  3. Tag a friend in the comments. 

  4. Bonus Entry: Repost the post in a story or feed using the hashtag #FFDS2023.

  • Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the entry method will be disqualified. 

 

5. Winner Selection: 

  • The winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries. 

  • Selected Entrants will be contacted by way of direct message to be given instructions on how to claim their prizes. The Selected Entrant will be required to respond (as directed in the direct message) within three (3) calendar days of attempted notification. If the winner does not claim the prize within the specified time, a new winner will be randomly selected. 

  • A Selected Entrant will only be declared a winner (a “Winning Entrant”) if the Selected Entrant correctly answers a skill-testing question.

  • The winner will be announced on October 11, 2023, on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. 

 

6. Publicity Release: 

  • By entering this contest, participants agree to allow DriverCheck to use their full name, image, social media handle, and contest-related content solely for promotional and marketing purposes related to the contest without compensation or notice.

 

7. Privacy: 

  • Personal information collected for this contest will only be used for the purpose of administering the contest and prize fulfillment. 

 

8. Social Media Specific Rules: 

  • Facebook: 

  • This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. 

  • Participants release Facebook from any responsibility. 

  • Instagram: 

  • This contest complies with Instagram's Promotion Guidelines. 

  • Users' entries and content become the property of DriverCheck upon submission. 

  • Accurate tagging of content on Instagram is required. 

  • This contest is in no way sponsored, administered, or associated with Instagram.

  • By entering, entrants confirm that they are 13+ years of age, release Instagram of responsibility, and agree to Instagram’s terms of use.

  • LinkedIn: 

  • This contest complies with LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies. 

  • Participants release LinkedIn from any responsibility. 

 

9. Indemnification by Entrant: 

  • By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DriverCheck and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, personal injury, death, and expenses arising out of or relating to the entrant's participation in the contest, acceptance or use of any prize, violation of these official contest rules, or any rights of publicity or privacy.

 

10. General Terms: 

  • DriverCheck reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules or is found to be fraudulent.

  • This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.

  • DriverCheck reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time.

  • The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received before the contest closes.

  • Tickets may not be resold.

  • By entering this contest, participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to abide by these official contest rules. 

 

11. Governing Law: 

  • This contest is governed by the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
